Support Joey’s Heart was founded 2019 to honor the memory of Joseph Michael Travieso, who tragically passed away due to fentanyl poisoning.
Our mission is to raise awareness about mental health struggles, and the dangers of fentanyl, while offering support to families who have lost loved ones.
Joey’s Heart was genuine—he was a humble, authentic young man who shared his love and kindness with the world. But life’s challenges became heavy after the loss of his father, which left his heart shattered. In his memory, Support Joey’s Heart Nonprofit Organization is committed to continuing his legacy by opening and healing the hearts of those we encounter.
Through collaboration, referrals, and compassionate support, we provide love and healing to individuals and families in need. Our mission is to honor Joey's life by offering comfort, hope, and strength to others, ensuring that his heart continues to touch and heal lives.
Our Vision is to create a world where no family has to experience the pain of losing a loved one to drug addiction. We are dedicated to breaking the stigma surrounding mental health and addiction, fostering open conversations, and providing resources to those in need.
Together, we can make a difference one heart, one life, one story at a time.
At Support Joey's Heart our commitment lies in discovering meaningful solutions to enhance the quality of others' lives. We passionately extend gestures to address significant challenges within our communities.
It is our responsibility to provide reassurance through vital resources, programs, and group sessions, fostering the cultivation of self-care practices that can be instrumental in saving lives.
Our primary objective is to persistently raise awareness, thereby contributing to the essential benefits required to mitigate the adverse effects of:

This story is dedicated to children who have experienced the loss of a loved one that has transitioned to heaven. Grief may disrupt routine activities and make concentration challenging. In loving memory of my firstborn son, Christopher J. Travieso, who tragically lost his life in a pedestrian accident, we are deeply mourning his loss. To honor Christopher and continue his mission of raising awareness about depression and sarcoidosis, we've designed custom merchandise—hats and socks—that carry a message of hope and inspiration: "It's A NU Season." All proceeds will support his brother's foundation, Support Joey's Heart (SJH). May Chris, lovingly known as NU, Rest in Paradise.
